I was lucky enough to be invited out on a boat called Silverswift last night to experience their newly launched night dive excursion. The boat departed Cairns at 5:15pm and we returned back to Cairns at 11:30pm. They served hot soup between dives and a hot buffet dinner afterwards!! I was really surprised by the underwater marine life in what was, to be honest, a very fruitful area. Thank you very much to all the crew and staff at Silverswift for giving me the opportunity to try out their latest dive experience. A big thumbs up from me! I have put together a little footage – take a look below!
If you cant see the first video, here is a second one with different tunes!
What a fantastic day yesterday on the reef! There was a little bit of wind around, but under the surface, there was plenty to see. This little guy, a Hawksbill Turtle, was just cruising around, happy to be hanging out with us! Just amazing!
Another fantastic day out on The Great Barrier Reef – the blue skies and sunshine are here! June through to September is the best time of the year to be in Cairns, Australia. It is my favourite time of the whole year, with lots of music festivals on and the reef looking amazing. Also, during this time a lot of people come up from Sydney, Perth and Melbourne to escape the cold winter, so everyone is up here, which is great!
