Where is it!?! Where is The Adventure Capital of Australia? Hmm… let me see… would it have something to do with The Great Barrier Reef? Well, yes! I would think so :). Another amazing dive, I must say! Check out this amazing Flaming File Shell doing his thing -very hypnotic in a way. It was in about 15 meters of water, hiding in his little rock. This dive was absolutely unreal!
My latest travel adventures took me to the far Northern Reefs of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. We made a 3 day trip to the famous cod hole and I must say it was totally amazing to see again, to say the least. I filmed this little fellow hanging around the back of the boat. He is a Tawny Nurse Shark and so super friendly he was like a pet dog waiting for a snack. Check it out!
Mr Splashy Pants has been in the news a lot lately and for good reason too! He has helped the Japanese Government decide to stop hunting for humpbacks this year ……. have a good little look here: Click Here He needs more support.
What an awesome day last Saturday! Three dives, the water was 27 degrees Celsius and visibility was about 25 meters. This is what living in Cairns Australia is all about! Check out my latest little video below – I managed to get right up close to this beautiful Moray Eel, who I think was just hanging out there waiting for lunch.

What an awesome day I had yesterday! My very first Helicopter lesson. I have been up in choppers before, but this was the very first time I have had the chance to fly one myself!
Here is my latest little film from a recent dive on Flynn Reef from The Great Barrier Reef. This little girl was a little scared at first but after a while decided I was not a threat and took off for a swim over to the next bommie.
I found this great little tour booking engine for tour companies located in and around Cairns. You have to already know what tour you would like to do but it is a live booking engine and will give you pretty good deals from what i could find. Check it out !

Can a river be an institution?
I know, sounds like a funny question, but in the Word of white water rafting, I’m talking about big six-man rafts with a professional guide out the back! Can a river be famous? Like does this rivers reputation proceed itself?
The Tully River, located about a 2-hour drive south of Cairns, is one of Australia’s most famous white water rafting rivers. It has a nick name its called the Mighty Tully.
“The Tully River is the largest White Water Rafting River in Australia!”
The township of Tully receives the highest amount of rainfall, more than any other town or place in Australia. The perfect place for a large white water rafting river!
White water rafting enthusiast have been coming to Tully for more than 30 years to try their hand at rafting this mighty River. Rafting guides from all over the world have come to find a job and work on this famous North Australian River.
Some guides have spent their lives working on the Tully River. I guess you call these guys river rats! These guys are the masters of the river, they know every eddie, rapid, small drop, large drop and the more dangerous swirling cive.
The paragraph below is the original extract about white water rafting on the Tully River. I finished that little sentence back on the 07th of November 2009.
Wow how time flies and now I look at how short and sweet my posts used to be back then.
“The mighty Tully River is at it again! The rains are here and the rivers are starting to pump. Every year the Tully River Bursts its banks and turns into a grade 5 monster with raging gushing white water rapids. I cant wait for January when she will go ballistic.”
